It is progressive rock with symphonic sounds of keyboard instruments, strong bass lines supported by bass pedals, wonderful guitar solos (in this recording Rinie Huigen and Jens van der Valk work wonderfully together). There is also a place here for sounds extracted from the flute by Judith van der Valk. The whole is united by Mark Smit's characteristic voice."

The album sounds like a seamless whole, rather than a compositional patchwork. Douwe Fledderus' artwork also deserves special mention; again very elaborate and in the same style as Mask, there's just as much to see as to hear. If you liked the debut, you can buy it without hesitation; if you like emotional symphonic prog without a lot of fiddling, Relations is also the right choice."
